These guys make replacement/upgrade covers for the facial interface for headmounted displays (HMDs) such as the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and others.

I’m trying a few products from them for my Oculus Rift headset, and they have been a great improvement upon the base product.  The foam padding that comes with the headset is open cell, which absorbs sweat… not a good version for being able to let friends try out the system.  Nobody wants to share the sweat of their brow so literally.

The padding I’m currently using from VR Cover is a PU Leather material, which  does not absorb sweat, and can be wiped down with cleaning cloths, which they also sell.  This way I can actually let my friends try out the system without the ick factor.

They also make a variety of other items for customizing the facial interface:  replacement plastic interfaces that allow their velcro components to attach, removeable cotton covers for the interface and the headphones, covers to keep dust and sunlight out when not in use, and a variety of other items.  Their inventory changes around as they add new items and discontinue others while they refine their products and adapt to demand.

I highly recommend getting new interfaces/padding from these guys.  It’s much more comfortable and hygienic to play VR again and again when you aren’t soaking in old sweat.
